Ayodele Adeyemi‑Faboya

Ayodele is a partner in the Corporate, Securities and Finance team at Banwo & Ighodalo, covering Corporate Governance and Regulatory Compliance, M&A, Fintech, Projects and Funds Advisory. She specialises in structuring optimal entry into the Nigerian market and regularly advises clients on appropriate entry structures and licensing, as well as onshore bilateral and multijurisdictional acquisitions. Her practice focus area covers the West African region, particularly Nigeria, the Gambia, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ghana, and anglophone Cameroon.

She is ranked by leading global guides, including IFLR 1000 and Legal 500; and recently emerged as the individual deal maker of the year (West Africa) at the Deal Maker Africa Awards.

Ayodele regularly facilitates trainings for start-ups and SME’s including the Fate Foundation SME programme, the Lagos Innovates incubator programme, the Nest Hub/ Mastercard Female Founders incubator, amongst others; and is frequently called upon to speak at industry events. She authored the M&A section of the Fate Foundation Entrepreneurs Handbook, and regularly contributes to leading journals including Euromoney, ICLG Expert Guides, and the Africa Construction Law Review.
