Oluwole Osaze Uzzi is a lawyer and election expert. He obtained the L.lB degree from the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth (now University of Aberystwyth)in the United Kingdom in 1981 and was subsequently called to the Nigerian Bar in 1982. He also holds a Master of Law degree.

Mr. Uzzi was in private legal practice and was also a University law lecturer (1997-1998) before joining the Independent National Electoral Commission at it’s inception in 1998, first as the Special Adviser (SA) to the pioneer Chairman (Hon. Justice E.O.I. Akpata, JSC) and he subsequently served at various times as Director of Legal Services, International Cooperation & Protocol and later Voter Education, Publicity, Gender & Civil Society Liaison.

He was for several years the Chief Spokesperson of INEC. He has attended and acted as a Resource Person in numerous seminars, workshops and trainings both in Nigeria and internationally. He has in addition moderated or anchored several national events including the Presidential Election Result Collation in 2015 and 2019.

He has also served on numerous Committees including the Electoral Reform (Nnamani) Committee.
Following his disengagement from INEC in 2020, Mr. Osaze Uzzi returned to private legal practice and is also engaged in Alternate Dispute Resolution as well as acting as an Adviser and consultant on elections and governance.
