Shasore is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria; Fellow Chartered Institute of Arbitrators; partner at a leading commercial law firm ALP NG & Co; Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Lagos State from 2007-2011; Initiated Arbitration Law reforms to Arbitration Law of Lagos State 2009; former Chairman Law Reform Commission Lagos (until 2015), former President of the Lagos Court of Arbitration.
He has been engaged in the resolution of various commercial disputes by arbitration, acting for sovereign, sub-national and private international parties in international commercial & investment arbitration/ litigation and other advisory capacities; significant deep experience in investor- state arbitration and the leading African counsel in ICSID experience, investment related disputes for many years.
He was consulted by the Lagos state government on reforms in the electric power sector. He was member/secretary of the Presidential petroleum revenue special taskforce and recently, a resource person to the Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals in connection with the Roadmap for the Growth and Development of the Nigerian Mining Industry.
He is the author of Jurisdiction and Sovereign Immunity in Nigerian Commercial Law (NICA 2007), co-author of Commercial Arbitration Law and International Practice in Nigeria (LexisNexis 2012) and Ministering Justice ‘Administration of Justice in Nigeria’ (Qbooks 2019).
