Internet and Broadband Connectivity – Good or Bad?
Kazeem joined IHS Towers Group in October 2020 as Vice President in charge of GICL Nigeria, an NCC licensed IHS subsidiary focused on connectivity (FTTT and FTTX), Rural Telephony and value-added services (IoT and Edge DC) across Nigeria.
He has over 14 years’ C-Level experience in business strategy and operations across West Africa, with focus on business development and commercial transactions (sales and marketing), corporate and project finance, legal, regulatory and compliance, project management and corporate strategy. An emerging market specialist, he has unique hands-on experience across market verticals (Wholesale, Retail and Enterprise) in the key services segments (Mobile/Fixed Networks and Services, Connectivity Networks and Services, Data Center infrastructure and Value Added Services).
He is an alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University (LLB), University of Glasgow/Strathclyde Graduate School of Law (LLM. IT & Telecommunications) as well as Fuqua Business School, Duke University, USA (MBA).
Kazeem has held several executive level positions in the ICT industry and was until recently the Business Executive, West Africa at MainOne Cable Company, where he was responsible for MainOne’s business and operations across Francophone West Africa and Ghana, as well as its Nigeria and International wholesale/carrier business out of London. He was director of Corporate Strategy at Starcomms Plc. until 2009, when he joined MainOne and had also combined his commercial and operations role with the position of General Counsel at both MainOne and Starcomms Plc.
He has been on the Board of Trustee of the Association of Licensed Telecoms Operators of Nigeria, the Telecoms Industry’s foremost stakeholder group, since 2007 and remain a key contributor to ICT policies and regulations in Nigeria.
