Anthonia Titilola Akinlawon SAN attended Egbado College in Ilaro, Ogun State for her Secondary Education from 1971-1975. Later, she moved to Methodist Girls High School, Yaba Lagos from 1975-1977 for Higher School Certificate.
She had her Tertiary Education at the Prestigious University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos from 1977-1980 and proceeded to the Law School in the same year and was called to the Bar on the 11th of July, 1981.
As it is normal procedure for every Nigerian graduate to serve the Nation, she was deployed to Ilorin, Kwara State, where she served as a lecturer in Law, Kwara State College of Technology, Ilorin, and a Pupil Counsel in the firm of Wole Olanipekun & Co under the NYSC Scheme between 1981 and 1982.
After her NYSC, she returned to Lagos in June 1982 and joined the Law Firm of M.I. Jegede & Co immediately where she commenced her legal practice in earnest.
However, her quest for success and educational pursuit endeared her to enroll at the University of Lagos to obtain her Masters Degree (LL.M) in September 1983.
She was an associate with the firm of M.I. Jegede & Co from 1982-1996, and a partner in the firm from 1997-March 2001, when she disengaged to set up the Law Firm of Akinlawon & Ajomo; a Specialist Litigation firm, in partnership with Mr. Ibukunoluwa Ajomo.
She was elevated to the inner bar on 26th August, 2011 although backdated to 2010.
A consummate advocate of great repute and tax expert, she has handled numerous cases, up to the Supreme Court.
She is a member of The Nigerian Bar Association, International Bar Association (IBA), FIDA (Federation of International Women Lawyers), a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Taxation Nigeria (CITN).
She is a Legal Adviser to The Chartered Institute of Taxation Nigeria (CITN).
