M.I. Abaga

M.I. Abaga is a pioneer of Nigerian hip-hop, both on stage and behind the scenes. With over 11 studio albums, the award-winning rapper brings lyricism to the genre that is packed with quick-witted punchlines and highlights the unique traits of hip-hop music made in Africa. But his influence doesn’t end there.  His decades-long career showcases a commitment to building spaces and systems where those creating art and culture can thrive. Believing in the collective power of artists, and wanting to put his hometown of Jos on the creative map, M.I. has been an outspoken advocate of social justice issues, and most recently, has founded TASCK, an artist-first ecosystem and creative incubator.

Before TASCK, M.I. served as a key artist and CEO of Chocolate City Music, where his eye for talent led to the signing of artists like CKay and Blaqbonez.
