Johnbosco Uche (JB) is the Energy Transition Business Opportunity Manager for Shell Companies in Nigeria. He also doubles as Front-End Development Manager and Project Lead in Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC).
Johnbosco obtained Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Geological Science from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, Scotland.
Johnbosco has acquired over 22 years of technical and business leadership experience in the energy industry working for Shell (2005 to date), CONOIL Producing (2004-2005), and Halliburton (2000-2004). Since joining Shell in 2005, he has worked as Exploration Geoscientist & Team Lead in SPDC Nigeria, Shell Netherlands, Shell United-Kingdom, and most recently as Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo) Exploration Manager between 2018 and 2021.
Johnbosco is a Fellow of Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE), and former Vice President of the association. Due to his strong passion for organic talent development of young Nigerian Geoscientists, he initiated the novel annual NAPE Mentoring Circles for emerging leaders in the oil and gas industry.
He is registered with the Council of Nigerian Mining Engineers and Geoscientists (COMEG). He is also a member of American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), and Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain (PESGB).
