Tola is the CEO/Co-Founder of Norebase. Norebase is a single digital platform that enables any individual or businesses to start, scale and operate their businesses in any African country, right from their digital devices. As Nigeria’s Assistant Chief Negotiator, he helped design and negotiate the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA), which created a single market for Africa’s 1.2 billion people.
He also designed Nigeria’s first-ever trade remedies mechanism, which creates a tool for protecting the Nigerian economy against unfair international trading practices. Prior to this, he helped set up Nigeria’s Ease of Doing Business Secretariat (EBES) delivering reforms like visa on arrival, government process automation, and land title e-registration, which moved Nigeria 24 ranks up the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business ranking in a single year. Previously, he co-founded and served as General Counsel at Future Africa, one of Africa’s most prolific early-stage venture funds.
Tola has law degrees from the University of Lagos and the University of Cambridge.
